Mandom has held the annual competition since 2008 with the aim of providing young people in various Asian countries and regions with an opportunity to make their dreams and hopes come true and promote exchanges between them through dancing. This year's competition was its eighth.
This year, regional eliminations began in April 2015 in eight countries and regions -- Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand -- for local youths. It was one of the largest dance competitions in Asia with entries by 1,384 teams.
